Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions for shipping original artwork, commissioned paintings, prints, and other items purchased from our website. By making a purchase, you agree to this policy.

Order Processing Times

Original Paintings, Prints, and Other Items: Orders for these items will be processed and shipped within 7-14 business days from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified in the product description.
Commissioned Paintings: For commissioned paintings, the shipping timeframe will be 2-8 weeks from the date of completion. The exact timeframe will depend on the complexity and size of the artwork and will be communicated to you during the commissioning process.

Packaging

Each painting will be carefully wrapped in protective paper, securely padded, and shipped in a well-fitted box to ensure its safe arrival. Prints will be shipped in a protective sleeve and sturdy mailer. Larger prints will be carefully rolled and shipped in a mailing tube.

Shipping Carrier and Services

All orders will be shipped via USPS or UPS. Our shipping services include:

Tracking: A tracking number will be provided for all shipments, allowing you to monitor the progress of your delivery.
Insurance: All shipments will be insured to protect against loss or damage during transit.

International Shipments

We ship everywhere that USPS does. We don’t ship to some countries because of legal restrictions or shipping carrier limitations. The list of restricted countries may change depending on world events, but for now, we don’t ship to the following destinations: Afghanistan Bhutan Brunei Chad Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions in Ukraine Cuba Iran Russia Belarus Ecuador Haiti Laos Libya Mongolia Niue North Korea Russia Samoa Sudan South Sudan Syria Timor-Leste Turkmenistan Yemen Priority Mail Express International® Effective October 25, 2021, due to airline travel restrictions and cancellations, the U.S. Postal Service has temporarily suspended the guarantee on Priority Mail Express International® to the following destinations: Suspension of Priority Mail Express International Guarantee Great Britain New Zealand Sweden Israel Singapore Switzerland These suspensions will be in effect until further notice. The Postal Service is taking all reasonable measures to minimize impact to our customers. Please note that Russia’s war in Ukraine severely limits shipping to Ukraine. The list of countries where our shipping carriers don’t offer international shipping may change. You can always review the up-to-date list on the USPS homepage. (Updated September 28. 2025)

Shipping Costs

Domestic Shipping (within the US): Shipping costs for all orders within the continental United States will vary based on the destination and the size/weight of the package. These costs will be calculated at checkout and are the responsibility of the customer..
International Shipping (including Canada): Shipping costs for international orders, including those to Canada, will vary based on the destination and the size/weight of the package. These costs will be calculated at checkout and are the responsibility of the customer.

Local Pickup

If you live nearby, you are welcome and encouraged to pick up your order directly from the studio. You can select "studio pickup" at checkout, and Gay Craig will contact you to schedule a time.

International Customs and Duties

Please note that for international shipments, additional customs duties, taxes, and fees may be imposed by the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer and are not included in the shipping costs paid at the time of purchase. We recommend checking with your local customs office for more information on potential charges.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

In the rare event that your order is lost or damaged during transit, please contact us immediately (within 7 days) with photos at gaycraig@gigisjoyfulcanvas. We will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue and ensure a satisfactory outcome.

Changes to this Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Shipping Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Policy on our website. Your continued use of our services or purchase of artwork after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Shipping Policy.
